89/100 | Decanter - "Only the second vintage bottled of this 100% barrel-aged Marselan (crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache), the vines planted in 2012 on fine clay and limestone soils in a 1ha plot. The bright purple-pink colour seems to stick to the sides of the glass, then come inviting aromas of black cherry and blackcurrant with a wild, herbal note. Deep and rich on the palate, the high acidity makes it really juicy, and this balances out some quite firm, youthful tannins across the palate these come from the skins, as Marselan is a small-berried variety with few seeds. Has a dark, smoky aspect that calls for a game bird, venison pie or a rich casserole."
